Our Goal
Revitalise Highland's recycling activities will provide
benefit to the Highlands and Islands' rural communities and, with development,
the extended rural community of Scotland.
The company will be providing
IT technology, training and employment to all sectors of the community.
By using a refurbishment technique we will be recycling a significant amount
of IT equipment, in the form of reusable inexpensive equipment, that
will help to reduce Scotland's carbon footprint.
Part of our development program, while creating new jobs, will also establish
a large base of volunteers who will receive training, leading to new
skills and eventually employment potential.
Qualified Team
Computer refurbishment and recycling is carried out by a qualified
team of full time staff
and volunteers whose aim is to reduce the amount of I.T. waste going
to landfill. By repairing and upgrading useable PCs, monitors, printers
and accessories they can be returned to the community, reducing waste
and cost to the consumer.
Volunteer Training
Training of volunteers plays an important part in the operation of
Revitalise Highland. Our team includes computer technicians with the
skills, knowledge and patience required to teach computer maintenance,
repair and upgrade skills to novice volunteers.
Computer Components
As well as low priced full computer
systems, we offer all kinds of refurbished I.T. items down to individual
components, providing a valuable source of spares for local and national
PC technicians and hobbyists.
Committed
We have years of I.T. recycling experience to draw upon and are committed
to recycling and development, incorporating European legislative
directives. Our recycling procedures comply with WEEE and SEPA regulations,
so you can rest assured that by supporting Revitalise Highland, you
are supporting your local community and the environment.
