Background
Revitalise Highland CIC was formed to
provide computer recycling, training and employment opportunities
for the Highland community.
Development is at the core of the company, and while creating new jobs,
we are also establishing a large base of volunteers who, with the hands-on
training we provide, will improve their employment potential in the growing
field of Information Technology.
Our Team
Computer refurbishment is carried out by a qualified team of full time
staff and volunteers whose aim is to reduce the amount of I.T. waste going
to landfill. By repairing and upgrading useable PCs, monitors, printers
and accessories they can be returned to the community, reducing waste and
cost to the consumer.
Volunteers and Training
Training of volunteers plays an important part in the operation of Revitalise
Highland. Our team includes computer technicians with the skills, knowledge
and patience required to teach computer maintenance, repair and upgrade
skills to novice volunteers.
Computer Equipment
As well as low priced full computer systems, we offer all kinds of refurbished
I.T. items down to individual components, providing a valuable source of
spares for local and national PC technicians and hobbyists.
Commitment
We have years of I.T. recycling experence to draw upon and are committed
to recycling and development, incorporating European legislative directives.
Our
procedures comply with WEEE and SEPA regulations, so you can rest assured
that by supporting Revitalise Highland, you are supporting your local community
and the environment.
